Donating Money

There are numerous ways that supporters can donate money. We have tried to explain them comprehensively on our page on donations.

If you are having difficulties making a donation or wish to ask a question about donations, please email us on info@porridgeandrice.co.uk providing as much information as you can so we can respond as helpfully as possible.

Donating Goods

We are very grateful for goods that are donated to Porridge and Rice. We will either sell them or take them to Kenya.

We do car boot sales 2 to 3 times a month, usually Apps Farm car boot sale, to raise funds for the work of Porridge and Rice in Kenya. This provides a steady income for the charity and only can be successful if our supporters continue to donate goods. If you have items that you think may sell well at a car boot sale, please email us on info@porridgeandrice.co.uk with details of the goods.

We attempt not to distort local markets and so are careful about the goods we take to Kenya. If we are able to find local suppliers at fair prices, we prefer to buy locally to support local jobs and businesses. This is not always possible and we decide on a case by case basis. If you have items that you would like to donate, please email us on info@porridgeandrice.co.uk with details of the goods.

Hire a Balloon Modeller

We have balloon modellers available for hire at children's parties or corporate events. Our balloon modellers are also trained to run team building events using balloon modelling, a novel and effective way to build a team. The balloon modellers are volunteers and all the money going to Porridge and Rice.

Full details can be found on our Hire a Balloon Modeller page. If you cannot find the information you are looking for or have any questions about what we can offer, please contact us on info@porridgeandrice.co.uk.
